Is it possible to use the photos for [specific use]?
This is the most common question we receive. As long as it does not violate the prohibitions mentioned above, the photos can be used for free.
Examples include: TV broadcasting, doujinshi, gaming machines, political activities, design competitions, etc.
I went on a trip recently but forgot to take photos. Can I use Photock’s photos on SNS?
It’s fine to upload the photos to social media, but please refrain from uploading them as “photos you have taken yourself.”
Is it okay to use the photos for age-restricted works like R18?
Photos of subjects without rights holders, such as natural landscapes, wild animals, food, and drinks, can be used freely.
For other subjects, such as famous buildings, tourist spots, vehicles, statues, and photos with prominent passersby, please refrain from using them.
Can I trace the photos for commercial sale, such as on postcards?
If the photos are traced, it is fine to sell them for profit or redistribute them. This also applies to processing with software like Photoshop.
