A view of the Fuji River seen from Minobu Bridge. The Fuji River, one of Japan's three most rapid rivers, rises in the Kofu Basin of Yamanashi and flows into Suruga Bay. Around here, however, it runs quietly across a broad riverbed framed by mountains on both banks.
